Emblem of Sussex: The Sussex Martlets

Here is a portfolio of different examples of where the emblem of Sussex is being used today and in the past. This is to show that Blue is used to represent the whole County of Sussex, unlike the modern misunderstanding where many people believe that blue represents the west of the county and red represents the east of the county due to the coats of arms of the modern County Councils, see the ‘Council Flags’ page for more details.

The examples of blue being used to represent Sussex in the east of the county are marked with an E.
